After a wildly successful two year partnership, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham-turned fashion designer is going at it on her own. The California label Rock & Republic, owned by designer Michael Ball gave Ms. Beckham her entry ticket to the world of fashion by signing a contract with her for £250,000 back in Sept. 2004 to develop a line under her name.

The new brand will be marketed under the VDB label, and the launch date has been set for early 2007.

A spokesman for R&R confirmed the news, saying, “It is true that Rock and Republic are no longer with Victoria Beckham. We stopped working with her in September."
