Antik Jeans
Although relatively new on the market, Antik Jeans carry with them the many years of experience, talent and dedication of it's creators. This is not just another Los Angeles premium denim line. It’s a hard core denim junkies dream. You can finally set to rest the belief that all jeans look alike. We've selected a few samples of their best sellers for women, found at Yoox.com, CoutureCandy and Adasa (see table below). Antik Denim is now also producing a line for men with the same intricate stitching found on the women's line coupled with a great fit and washes.
The company was formed in 2004 by lifelong friends and designers Philippe Naouri and Alexandre Caugant in association with denim industrialist Paul Guez. The designers share a passion for antique western art and work-wear and are undying advocates for perfectionism in their product. They have chosen to use the finest Italian and Japanese fabrics, coupled with a meticulous craftsmanship reminiscent of arts and crafts movement of past eras.
The line quickly established itself as a force to be reckoned with, both in the U.S. and internationally. They have also very quickly extended their range of products to include t-shirts, belts, boots, and have the licensing of jewelery, shoes, and other products on the drawing table.
Antik Jeans are undoubtedly pricey, but to the enthusiast, they are worth it. The bar has been raised, and it’s hard to imagine what could come next.
