Here’s a small sampling of our favorite fashion blogs. Blogging is the hottest new trend on the internet, and the fashion industry was not about to be left behind. If you don’t know what a blog is, you’re in for some fun. They are basically sites in a specific format with content made up of mostly on going commentary by “the blogger” and his reader’s comments. The text scrolls downwards as more content is added.
They can include all of the things that traditional sites have, such as articles, videos, downloads, an archive of past comments, and all sorts of other information. But mostly, a blog is like an “opinion posting”, usually by an author who is very knowledgeable and passionate about a particular subject. The regularity of the posts varies, depending on the publisher. By nature, they tend to be fun, controversial and opinionated, but can also be very serious PR tools for business and government. I think you’ll really enjoy this selection. You’ll find that most of them will also lead you to other blogs, a never ending stream of them.
- HomeTome – The Jeans Blog:A Blog For Jeans Lovers Jeans blog provides information on jeans and its innovations.
- Jack and Hill: Written by a self professed beauty obssesive (Jackie Danicki) and a long time beauty journalist (Hillary Johnson), this blog is informative and very entertaining. Mostly a beauty blog, with commentary on fashion, politics, food, travel and a whole lot more.
- Manolo’s Shoeblog: Shoes, fashion, celebrity, and humor from Manolo the Shoeblogger. Outrageously funny! This is a gem, copied by many other fashion blogs.
- The Bag Blog: TBB is written by Sara Piaseczynski, who is still searching for that perfect handbag. This weblog is all about bags, pocketbooks, purses & what have you.
- Teenfashionista: Written by a teenager, this is a portal to all things fashion; from a self-proclaimed, style obsessed, fashion savvy teen's point of view.
- The Bling Blog: Everything you need to know about jewelery, in true blog style: expert and sassy.
- The Budget Fashionista: ”Be Fabulous for Less”. True to it’s title, this blog is geared towards helping you stay in fashion and in budget.
- The Purse Blog: "Your daily fix of shoulder fashions", obviously all about those handy hang on-to’s that we just can’t have enough of.
- You Look Fab: Non-verbal communication is important and we are judged by how we dress and what we look like everyday. Angie’s blog is about sharing her years of experience as a designer, fashion buyer and personal dresser. She gives daily, actionable advice to help people increase their style quotient.
