Frankie B Jeans
Frankie B Jeans has put chic rock’n roll fashion at the reach of the masses. Originally inspired by the hippie hip-huggers of the sixties and early seventies, owner and designer Daniella Clarke has grown her company from a garage based operation to a successful international powerhouse. She is married to rock guitarist Gilby Clarke, with whom she has a daughter, Frankie, the inspiration for the label’s name.
This firm pushed the limits on lowrise jeans, and is credited by many as being the main force behind the success of this cut. Daniella says, “I always had fantasies about what I’d like to wear and how I’d like the fit to be. Jeans make a woman feel sexy, strong, feminine, and casual all at the same time and are now a staple of most women’s wardrobes, not a trendy item that becomes obsolete after a season. The Frankie B. woman is someone who likes to have fun with her wardrobe.”
To Frankie B., lowrise was not a gimmick or a passing trend, it was a look deeply rooted in a lifestyle. Her nervy trendsetting 3” and 4” risers set the bar, others followed. There is much more to Frankie B Jeans than lowrisers, whom many claim are on their way out. Her collection has grown to include menswear, knitwear, and even eyewear.
