Men's Jeans Styles
Women are notorious for thinking that picking out clothes is a nightmare, but realistically they have a great deal of help – just look at the number of TV shows, fashion magazines and even films dedicated to the topic. But by comparison men have very little to help them in the fashion stakes. Since a badly dressed man can be a complete turn-off, a quick guide to a wardrobe essential – jeans – is definitely needed. Here’s a quick fire guide to the different styles of jeans out there for men. The most well-known style of men’s is the straight cut style – these sit on your natural waist and have a slim fit around the bottom and thighs. These jeans are long in the leg and have slight tapering at the ankle – it’s the classic style of men’s jeans that all men own at least one of, and can be worn with most things. Like women’s jeans, men’s jeans have evolved into various different styles. The bootcut jean is perfect for guys who wear boots, such as cowboy boots or the ‘working’ boot style – these sit just below the natural waist and are fitted around the bottom but with a wider leg than the straight fit jeans and have a slight flare from the knee to the end of the leg to accommodate boots. Wide legged jeans are much like the bootcut style, however they have a wider leg, less flare and are looser around the bottom and thighs. They generally have a straight, slightly tapered cut from the thigh to the ankle. Low rise jeans are also becoming more popular amongst men. These often sit below your natural waistline, resting on the hips. It is best to wear this style with longer shirts or tees, to save you flashing any flesh. This style of jeans are tighter around the hips and stomach and so should be avoided is these are problem areas for your body type. There are also a lot of brands to choose from, such as G-Star, Firetrap and Diesel jeans. The majority of these can be found online at Very.co.uk so take a look.
